My favorite podcast. Ever.

May 11th, 2007 by Chris Punke

I used to listen to quite a few podcasts, but found that most of them were quite boring and rarely provided information that I found useful or informative enough to listen on a regular basis. On occasion I find one that has promise, only to be disappointed by an apparent ‘pod-suicide’. I still tune into a few now and again, just not with the regularity I did in the early days of podcasting.

However, there is one podcast worth mentioning that I just simply cannot miss. Ever.

podcastIt’s Boagworld, a charming, banter-filled 45-minute podcast produced weekly by two Brits (Paul Boag and Marcus Lillington) who are partners in a UK-based web development company, Headscape.

Among the back-and-forth exchange of humorous digs, pokes and jabs they even manage to throw in a fair amount of useful information for designers, developers, webby-sales folks and other roles you might find in a small web studio. They also try to include a fair amount of information geared toward owners and stakeholders of web sites. So, really anyone who maintains a web site would benefit from the information they provide.

Check ‘em out. (Be sure to tune into the end for Marcus’ weekly cheeky jokes and funny stories.) Paul also maintains a blog site with equally interesting information. Might be worth adding to your aggregator.

I try to comb the iTunes podcast directory periodically for new stuff, but it really has become quite a daunting task to wade through the thistles trying to find a rose. Are there any podcasts you listen to that might be worthwhile? I’d love to add a few more gems to my playlist.
